Journal:
My First Semester
My first semester at the University of Florida was a big transition, but I believe it resulted in personal growth and new experiences. At the beginning of the semester, I sometimes found it difficult to balance my schedule with homework, trying to meet new people, attending events, and joining clubs. But after a few weeks of adjustment, I found a group of friends that were supportive and kind, I fell in love with campus and with Gainesville, and ended up thoroughly enjoying all of my classes. Other than the occasional late night homesickness or studying session, most of my semester was full of smiles and memories. As I reflect on these past few months, I am grateful for these experiences and the people I have met along the way. As I look ahead to the next semester and beyond, I am excited to continue growing, learning, and making memories through all of the challenges and opportunities that UF offers.
